Hey mom!!
How is everybody? It sounds like you're all doing really well. I am doing really good! Well to answer your questions our apartment is this weird pentagonal shaped room, painted a bright purple color. We have beds and a little fridge, hangers, a little couch and a table with some chairs. It´s not much but it nice for here in Mexico. Chilpancingo is actually a really well off area, for Mexico. It'd probably be a little junky in the U.S. Everything´s going well. The people here are so great! We eat really good here, women love to cook for us and they love it when we compliment them. It´s great! In each house, they have this stone basin type thing that they fill with water. Our house fortunately has a little ¨washing machine¨ sort of. But we use that and then we dry and wash them by hand and then hang ém up. Usually we do it every Monday. And we cook absolutely NOTHING. We don´t eat breakfast or dinner, but we just eat a lot at lunch, around 3:00. Yeah it´s crazy that Kevin is leaving already! It´s weird! Tel Nana and Papa that I love them so much, and I hope they are well. Tell them not to give up their own personal faith. Trust in God in all stages of life. They should be at rest trusting and relying on the knowledge that they´ll live again and see Anne and their parents. Tell them to be happy and to know that they´ve got noting to worry about. God has it all planned out. I hope Nana does okay seeing Papa in his situation. I am glad that you had the chance to wash the feet of the sisters in your ward. When we serve with an eye single to the glory of the Lord, and with an open heart, that's when God let´s us love in His way. We see beauty in EVERY person. I was thinking about that the other day. The world has it´s own standard of beauty. The world has a lot of junk, but there is literally beauty in every human soul, whether they be heavy, old, young, not very smart, handicapped, or whatever. The human soul is beautiful, and we can see that beauty in everyone when we submit ourselves to the will of God and serve Him, and them. I am doing well, and am going to send you a C.D. Hopefully it makes it there. Who knows, or in Spanish ¨¿Quien sabe?¨ I love that phrase in Español. It makes me laugh.
We baptized two people last night. A woman named Doris and little guy named Jorge Alejandro. They are so cool. We really have found people that are so open and the gospel has fit in wit their lifestyle like a piece in a puzzle. We are teaching a woman named Solila. She is a ray of light. She is always happy and so open. She really likes the book of Mormon and is so generous. A lot of people here truly are the chosen of the Lord, those that don´t harden their hearts when they hear His voice. The problem here is that people get really excited and they´re really open, but it´s hard to keep them going to church. We had conference with President and Hermana Gardner today. They´re so great. He´s a little intimidating, but a great leader and very passionate. Sister Gardner is like Sister Allston. A FIREBALL, and just a great person. It was good, and I learned a lot. Tell Alyssa congratulations for me! I hope she is happy and well!
Sounds like Sterling is going crazy! I hope he doesn´t die of exhaustion! I love you! Russell
